Solen skinner og gresset vokser!
Dear Members
A quick update on what’s been- and will be going on in the coming days.
We used the wet period at the end of last week to get some grooming done on the greens. This helps with removal of any longer grass leaves that are laying horizontally on the surface, much the same as verti cutting, but less aggressive. We had hoped to groom again this week, however I have decided against this with the warmer temperatures that we have now and for the foreseeable future. The important thing in the short term is to help these weaker areas through the warm period.
Extra water will be added to the greens especially through the hottest parts of the day. This is essential to help any seed germinate as well as to keep any new seedlings (grass) alive. I apologise in advance for the inconvenience this will cause.
Other jobs ongoing are basically cutting grass. The growth has exploded in the last few days, and this has meant extra cutting to make the surfaces more presentable.
We hope to have new bunker sand in place next week, this will be driven out to top up and refresh any bunkers that require more sand.
This week’s Grass Cutting heights:
Greens: 4mm
Tees and Approaches: 10mm
Fairways: 12mm
Semi: 21mm
Rough: 57mm
Be back soon with another update.
Best Regards
Duncan and Team.
